Cave St Louis

We visited this restaurant during our motorcycle road trip. We were in for a treat! The snails are very good, nothing to complain about. The hearty burgers and homemade fries are excellent. The warm welcome and service were perfect.

Not being from the surrounding area, a lovely discovery in this small village. The person who served us was very pleasant and kind. The service was fast and the dishes were magnificent in taste and aesthetics. They were also generous. My partner had a rump steak and it was very tender and the Époisse sauce was succulent. I had an andouillette and it had a lot of flavor and not very rubbery. A little hidden gem in the Nièvre. I fully recommend it! We didn't buy the local products, wines or spirits but there seemed to be some nice things there too.

Food 5 (simple), Wines 5, Price 5, Service 5. We happened to land here while charging our car. Excellent value (€60, 4 wines, a large bottle of sparkling wine, 1 starter, 2 main courses). Simple food (potatoes, chives, oil, onions, and smoked herring as a starter!) and delicious. Ditto the wine!

While traveling in a camper van on August 15th, we saw this wine cellar open. It was 2:30 p.m. The manager greeted us with a smile and invited us to sit down and eat. I ate an excellent burger, the fries were homemade, and the beer offered was local. My husband had an excellent andouillette. I really recommend it.

Good selection of wine and beer. Nice terrace. Finally, a place where you can enjoy one of the better beers. A great spot for lunch and snacks.

PERFECT. The setting is very pleasant, the staff is there but very discreet, they are not the type to come and check every two minutes if everything is going well, and that feels good. The meal was very very good! Everything is homemade, it smells. There is a small grocery store inside, very convenient for tasting local products. Thank you again for your welcome.

An excellent restaurant where the sirloin steak and Charolais tartare were excellent! The wines were very pleasant, and we really enjoyed the chilled Crémant de Bourgogne as an aperitif! We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this place!

We're huge fans of Cave St Louis. It's a lovely place to have lunch on the terrace or in the authentic dining room, enjoying local dishes with a good glass of wine. We always make wonderful discoveries there: local beers, jams, honey... It's also great when you have gifts to buy!

Friendly welcome and simple but well-prepared cuisine. Very nice selection of wine, beer and spirits, all at a very affordable price. I really like the concept. Thank you.
